Release of “Kepco” Poultry Feed in Market |
A Feed Mixing Plant with a production capacity of 2 T/Hr. is installed in Kottiyam farm. Another feed plant is proposed to be installed in Kudappanakunnu and Mala under RKVY Scheme. One of the major constraints faced by farmers in poultry industry is the non-availability of quality feed at reasonable price. Farmers are depending on private sector feed companies and there is no mechanism to control the price of poultry feed at present and it is now dictated by private players. Commercial production of poultry feed will be started and will be sold as “KEPCO” poultry feed to farmers at reasonable price. |
Opening of “Kepco” Outlets |
In order to strengthen the forward integration and to supply quality poultry products at reasonable price to the consumers, it is proposed to open more “KEPCO” outlets in Thiruvananthapuram and Kollam districts. Two outlets were opened in Karamana and Peroorkada in Thiruvananthapuram district. |
Return of Value Added Poultry Products |
Value added poultry products like chicken sausage, chicken salami, chicken cutlet, etc. Will be released in the market under “KEPCO” brand name during Onam. |
